“Yellow Rose of Texas” – (in G) BANJO – NEW! – 2019

Last night, an adult banjo student of mine, George Phillips of Fredericktown, MO came in and wanted “Yellow Rose of Texas” worked out on the banjo. I had a number of versions already done. He didn’t like any of them! He thought the melody should be on the ‘lower’ strings (George likes most of his melodies lower pitched), so I worked this one out while he sat there… I even Tabledited while he sat there… George thinks I can ‘type out’ my arrangements in Tabledit faster then he can play them on his banjo… Funny… Never heard that before… There’s a first time for everything!
